Black garlic is truly a one of a kind delicacy. Well known for a variety of cooking uses and numerous health benefits. It's sweet flavour makes it easy to enjoy on its own like candy or used to make salad dressings, butter spreads, pasta and more.

We sell our black garlic by the weight so you can order as much or as little as you need.

 

Each pack contains a minimum weight of our slow aged organic black garlic bulbs grown right here on our small family farm. Unpeeled black garlic can keep up to 12 months with proper storage.

Black garlic is garlic that has been slow aged in a temperature and humidity controlled setting. Some may refer to this as "fermentation" but it is really a Maillard reaction that condenses the sugars and turns the garlic black. This process creates the sweet delicious flavour with medicinal benefits.

 

What makes our black garlic different from others?

 

We use a much slower method and lower temperature ensuring that you get the most nutritional and medicinal value out of our black garlic. We have experimented with countless garlic cloves and found our method we use now is by far the best in achieving the best quality black garlic.

 

We have also been growing and using purple hard neck garlic for our black garlic for over 10 years and have been praised for its amazing taste compared others on the market.

 

Lastly our family agrees that it’s not about entering competitions and winning medals to place on our packaging, but to produce small, flavoursome and boutique batches of what we believe is one of the best tasting black garlic on the market.

    We do not use fancy packaging and all black garlic is sold in breathable recyclable brown paper bags or in biodegradable cardboard boxes.

    We sell our black garlic in whole heads to maximise its storage life. Ideally unpeeled black garlic can be stored in the fridge for up to 12 months.

    Packed with umami, black garlic has a soft, sticky texture with notes of molasses and balsamic vinegar and will elevate any savoury dish. Mash into butter, spread under the skin of a whole chicken before roasting, slice thinly use as a topping for congee and crostini or add to a pan of fried mushrooms.
